Vintage Chicago Aerial Industries Spy Camera KE28A This is an Aerial Camera with a high resolution 6 inch f2.8 lens, a focal plane shutter and it uses 70mm sprocketed film. The model number is KE-28A and it is manufactured by Chicago Aerial Industries, Inc and they have an almost 100 year history, but have changed the name to Recon Optical. The company developed airborne cameras that photographed Soviet missiles in Cuba, tracked the Viet Cong and was used during Operation Desert Storm. The Smithsonian Museums have catalogs and trade literature from the company. Roger Worthington of the Chicago Tribune wrote a very good article about the company; "Spy-Camera Firm Lying Low" that was published in 2001. The camera is impressive, the optics are in great condition for its age but will need a little TLC to make look/work brand new. We are including a the roll of 70mm film, that is sealed but quite old. 30 Day Return Policy INFORMATION ABOUT OUR BUSINESS LabRatParts is a professional Transmission Electron Microscope service, restoration and sales company.
