The Tilt-A-Mite uses flashbulbs with a fan-fold reflector facilitating compact storage. The reflector can be angled (“tilted”) away from the subject for bounce flash off the ceiling or wall. They were originally products of Heiland Research Corp., of Denver, Colorado which was acquired by Honeywell in 1954, primarily for access to their flash technology.
