Description
3D Print Quoting Calculator – Instant 3D Printing Quotes for Your WordPress Site
Stop quoting every print by hand. The 3D Print Quoting Calculator adds an instant quote tool to any WordPress page. Customers upload an STL, OBJ or 3MF file, pick a process, material, color, layer height, infill, finish and quantity, and see a live price with a rotatable 3D preview of their part.
As a result, your website becomes a 24/7 quoting desk. You spend less time answering “how much would this cost?” emails, and customers get an answer while they are still on your site.
Try the live demo
Below is a working demo of the 3D print quoting calculator exactly as your customers would see it. Upload your own STL, OBJ or 3MF file or load one of our sample parts, then change the material, layer height, infill, finish and quantity. Open the shop owner view to adjust your rates and brand color. Your file stays in your browser and nothing you enter is sent or stored.
In the real plugin you set these under 3D Print Quotes → Settings. Change them here and watch the quote update.

Upload a 3D model and get a price in seconds
The 3D print quoting calculator reads STL (binary and ASCII), OBJ and 3MF files right in the browser. No third-party services or API keys are involved. It then measures the part automatically:
- Part volume and surface area
- Bounding box dimensions, with a build-volume check that warns when a part won’t fit the chosen machine
- Estimated material weight and print time
- A live 3D preview tinted to the selected filament or resin color
Because STL and OBJ files have no units, customers can choose millimeters or inches and scale the part. 3MF files carry real units automatically. Customers without a 3D file can use the manual-dimensions mode instead.
Detailed, accurate 3D printing pricing that you control
Every quote is built from your own shop rates, so prices match how you actually run your printers. You can set:
- Material cost per kg and density
- Machine hourly rate and print speed
- Support material percentage
- FDM wall thickness and infill options
- Finishes priced per part, per cm² or as a percentage of cost
- Handling, setup fee, markup and rush surcharge
- Minimum order amount and quantity discounts
Supports FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF and your own processes
Set up as many processes, materials, colors, layer heights and finishes as your shop offers. For example, run PLA, PETG, ABS and TPU on FDM, standard and tough resins on SLA, and nylon PA12 on SLS, each with its own rates and build volume. The calculator ships with sensible defaults, so you can start quoting right away and fine-tune later.
Every quote request becomes a lead
When a customer is ready, they submit a formal quote request. The plugin saves it in WordPress, re-prices it on the server from the uploaded file, and emails both you and the customer. You can then track each request as New, Quoted, Won or Lost under 3D Print Quotes → Quote Requests.
Uploaded models are kept private. They are stored in a protected folder with random file names, and only administrators can download them from the quote request screen.
Add the 3D printing quote calculator to any page
- Upload the plugin zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and activate it.
- Go to 3D Print Quotes → Settings and enter your rates, materials, layer heights, infill, finishes and discounts.
- Add the shortcode
[tdpqc_calculator]to any page.
It works with any theme. It is a one-time purchase, with no subscriptions and no external API keys.
Need quotes for machined or sheet metal parts too?
Pair it with the CNC Quoting Calculator for machined parts, or the Sheet Metal Quoting Calculator for fabrication work. That way, your site can quote every service your shop offers.
